With my Prusa printer there is an option within the menu to pre-heat the nozzle & bed for a certain material type. Now it would be cool if I could do the same from Printoid. E.g. Press Pre-heat, select material type (PLA, ABS, etc) and the bed & nozzle will heat-up to a predefined temperature. This goes faster than setting the temp individually.
Perhaps its already a part of Prinoid in which case, sorry for asking :)
Cheers

Hello Ido,
Pre-sets for heating are already available in Printoid.
Just click on the "gear" icon (below the Extrude/Retract/Stop motors buttons, to the right of the axis controls). You can define up to 3 presets per nozzle / bed.
Kind regards,

ah thanks, I tried it indeed. However I still need to set the nozzle and bed separately. Not the end of the world of course, but a one-button wonder would be cool, haha
Octoprint has a nice plugin now
https://github.com/marian42/octoprint-preheat
This Octoprint plugin adds a preheat button to preheat the nozzle and bed to the printing temperature of the selected gcode file.
Being a client app, this is perhaps a bit more difficult come to think of it, as you dont have access to the gcode file...

Hello Ido,
Printoid hasn't access to your GCODE files, unless the file has been expressly downloaded by the user.
Another thing is that, Printoid can't control at all the OctoPrint plugins, there is no way to do that unless the plugin's developer adds an interface to control it.
Thanks for your comprehension,

thanks anthony, understandable. btw I didnt mean you should be communicating with the plugin, but I just used it as an example.
still loving the app btw! :)
